In these roles Lloyd managed large capital expansion projects as well as addressing supply chain and product deployment challenges of reaching small and large farmers in <st1:place>Africa</st1:place>. Before his appointment with CGIAR and his previous role with Pioneer, Lloyd’s career involved farm and livestock management, agro-processing, general management and finally sales agronomy in <st1:country-region><st1:place>Zimbabwe</st1:place></st1:country-region>.
'The selection process by <st1:stockticker>SRI</st1:stockticker> was professional and rigorous and to our entire satisfaction... The decision finally came down to deciding who could bring new elements to the reform programme, catalyze the private sector, the CGIAR Centers, the donors, stakeholders and farmers and who could bring his experience for ensuring that the reform process would have an impact on the ground'.
